Some definitive research on communication states that in face-to-face
communication, only 7% of the meaning is carried in the words. Another
38% in the intonation and spacing of the words and the remaining 55% in
non-verbal communication (facial expression, gestures, body language
etc). Even the telephone loses over half the meaning, email should be
unintelligible most of the time... and thanks to YahooGroups, it
usually is :)
