Amiga Rediscovery - AACD Version

About the AR project:

Once every month (or so), we pick a demo of a classic Amiga game. Then we hope that as many people as possible download and play this demo, and that these people contribute to the discussion in comp.sys.amiga.games , sharing their experiences with the others. The advantage with this is that (hopefully) many people will have experienced the same game and formed their own thoughts about it. This should make the ensuing discussion quite interesting.

If you've never visited comp.sys.amiga.games before, a little introduction might be in order. Compared to other groups on the usenet, c.s.a.g. is small-ish, with an average of 10-20 messages a day. This obviously change when there's something significant to discuss. The group is quite friendly, but certain types of posts are bound to annoy people (warez requests, for instance), so it might be a good idea to download and read a few weeks worth of messages before diving in (though Amiga Rediscovery-related posts are welcome right away ;-).

Paradroid 90 will be announced as the current Amiga Rediscovery title as soon as this issue of AmigActive is released in the UK and to it's subscribers. But don't worry if you're a little late, any contribution to the discussion (or the creation of a new discussion) is welcome, no matter when it's posted. Finally, when we find a new Amiga Rediscovery demo, we'll announce it in the newsgroup, so stay alert for more fun in the future. Earlier Amiga Rediscovery demos can be found at the Amiga Rediscovery site, at http://home.hia.no/~jafrohol/arindex.htm

Click here for the Paradroid 90 page, which contains the demo, some screenshots and an extensive set of instructions written by Angus Manwaring.
