Notes: | Included the results of the Amiga Active online survey to find out people's opinion on "what is Amiga?". The majority of people wanted a _499 pricepoint for new systems. As for what Amiga's path should be toward new systems, 37% wanted OS3.5 to be developed. 26% wanted something new in the Amiga style, 18% something new with an Amiga influence and 19% something radically new. 54% of respondents thought that a totally configurable user environment ("dynamic desktop") was a good idea, 8% said it was essential, 5% didn't like it because it was "un-Amiga like" and 2% thought it would be pointless. 31% were undecided.
Essential tools that users would want to see brought over (or followed through) to the new operating system, whatever it would be, included MUI, the Command Line Interface (CLI), Magicmenu and a commodity program such as MCX or MCP. |
