What to do:

1. Click in the play bar to deselect 
    and make your selection again. 

2. Choose Play Selection Only from 
    the Movie menu.

3. Click the Play button to see the
    contents of your selection.

    If necessary, deselect and try
    again.

4. Paste the selection where you 
    want it.
