Welcome to Thomas Warfield's Pretty Good Solitaire 99! Pretty Good Solitaire 99 is a collection of 300 solitaire games, from classic games like Klondike, FreeCell, and Spider, to 28 original games invented especially for the program. Some tips and tricks to remember: 1) To play a particular game, click on its name on the main screen. 2) To see the rules for a particular game, press F1 or click on the help (question mark) button. 3) The game that comes with Windows is called Klondike. Another familiar game is FreeCell. The other most popular games are Aces and Kings, Australian Patience, Demons and Thieves, Eight Off, Forty Thieves, Penguin, Pyramid, Scorpion, Spider, and Yukon. If you have trouble deciding what game to play, clicking on the random game button chooses one of the games at random. 4) In most games, the cards can be moved by drag and drop. A quick way to move cards is to right click on the card you want to move. If there is a legal move for this card, Pretty Good Solitaire will make the move. 5) When you exit a game, the game position is saved until the next time you play that game. When you start that game again, your saved game is played back ready for you to continue. 6) Detailed statistics are kept for each game, including your score, the game number, and date/time when you played. You can submit your statistics and have them posted on the Pretty Good Solitaire web site along with other users top scores. Each game has a top scores list! To see the top scores and to submit your statistics, go to http://www.goodsol.com/stats. 7) Have fun! -- OPERATING SYSTEMS -- FOR WINDOWS 3.1 USERS -- Pretty Good Solitaire 99 is a 32-bit program for Windows 95/98/NT.
