 Monitor setup
Each monitor is diffirent and the close environment
also plays a great role in the way images are displayed
and finally they influence the way you see them.
Although the RGB color model used by computer monitors
is capable of displaying a large portion of the visible
spectrum, phisical limitations of your video system often
limit the total number of colors that can be displayed
at one time. The correction that is required is mostly
referred as factor gamma.

How to apply gamma correction in the monitor setup ?
- Open the Monitor Setup dialog box by clicking on
Project > Preferences > Monitor Setup

- Than increase your distance from the monitor to
about 3 feet, (1 m), to make the pattern in the 3
left-rectangles of each primary color square less
apparent.
- Adjust each one of the 3 sliders until you get
the right part of each square appear like is left
counterpart. When done press OK and don't forget
to save you preferences before exiting. To do
that you must create a user profile in
Preferences > User.
Making a precise gamma correction in Photonyx
won't improve the way your images are displayed on other
programs !
