Company Background

The Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (Philexport) is the recognized voice of exporters in the country. It has a membership of over 1,600 companies representing the following sectors: garments, textile yarns, and fabrics; fashion accessories and travel goods; footwear; gifts, toys, and housewares; furniture; electronics; fresh and processed food; chemicals; metal and non-metallic mineral manufacture; resource-based products. The Philexport - Region XI based in Davao City is the chapter for the Southern Mindanao region. It is a non-stock, non-profit corporation duly registered in the Securities & Exchange Commision. Its primary objectives are: to serve as the institutional bridge between the private and government sectors in export industries, and to channel its services to exporters and undertake investment promotion and development in the region.

The Davao Investment Promotion Center has been established to implement Davao City's "Invest in Davao" Project. It actively promotes investments to the city. Its operations have been designed to assist investors to do business in Davao more easily. The center is a joint undertaking of the Davao City Government and the Philexport - Region XI.
