The Microangelo 98 package consists of five utilities: the Explorer (new with this version, replacing the Browser module), the Librarian, the Studio, the Animator, and the Engineer.
The Microangelo Explorer mimics the look and feel of the Windows Explorer to let you easily browse icons, cursors, and icon libraries on your system. It provides a single point of access to all of Microangelo's features.
Use the Engineer to change the system icons on your Windows desktop, Start Menu, and other areas, as well as manage several Windows system configuration options.
Edit icons and cursors with the Studio, create animated icons with the Animator, and organize icon libraries with the Librarian.
If icons and cursors are your life, Microangelo 98 is the tool suite to have handy. Several new features have been added, including detection and support for Windows 95, 98, and Windows NT 4.0 or greater. System icons can now be installed from Microangelo 98's Explorer and Librarian, as well as from Engineer. Three new viewing modes in Librarian allow you to view all image formats at once and see exactly how each icon will appear if installed to the current Windows installation. The program now supports new system icons in Windows 98 and the Active Desktop feature of Internet Explorer 4.0. As well, the Drawing Tool panel has been integrated into the left side of icon and cursor editors to save desktop space; a Colour Blend area has been added to the colour Palette, allowing easy creation of colour "ramps" between any two colours; and Studio and Animator now include a Text drawing tool to create text in the selected font, size, and style of your choice. However, Unlike previous versions, you can't purchase just the parts of the program you want -- it's all or nothing.
