Enable Advanced Options Checkbox.
Check this box to make the rest of the Advanced Options available. Once again, we advise that unless you are confident in making these changes, you do not change and of the advanced options.
MaxMTU Value Radio Buttons.
MaxMTU is an Internal setting for Microsoft TCP/IP protocols. Most ISP's use their MTU setting under 600. The Default for Microsoft Windows 95 is 1500. Changing this setting may or may not increase actual transfer rates. The effect of this setting is totally dependent on your ISP.
RWIN Value Radio Buttons.
The RWIN parameter is the Recieve Window Size (packet size). The effectiveness of changing this parameter again changes with your ISP. Generally you may get marginally faster transfers using the SpeedyNet Calculated values. With this value being different for every ISP, experiment to get the best results. Changing this setting may or may not increase actual transfer rates. The effect of this setting is totally dependent on your ISP.
Exit Button.
Close the Advanced Options box.
Save Button.
Save changes made during this session. You will be prompted to restart Windows to make your changes take effect. NOTE: this button is disabled if no changes are made.
Discard Buttons.
Discards current Changes.
