OVERVIEW
--------
Your brain is being invaded!  Nanobots (tiny robots created with
nanotechnology) have been surgically implanted into your cerebral cortex
to reverse the negative effects of television on your central nervous
system.  After repairing the damage, the Nanobots were supposed to be
destroyed by your immune system, but something went wrong.  While repairing
the brain, the Nanobots began to grow smarter and decided they wanted to 
live -- at your brain's expense.  Now they are feeding on your brain's grey
matter and growing smarter still.  You must find a way to destroy these
invaders before you lose your mind.

HOW TO INSTALL BRAINWAVE ONTO YOUR HARD DRIVE
---------------------------------------------
To install BrainWave onto your hard drive, run Microsoft Windows, and
select "File" then "Run..." from the main menu in the Program Manager.  
If you are running Windows 95, select the "Run..." command from the Start 
menu instead.  Enter the full path, and run the program SETUP.EXE.  For 
example, if you are installing from a disk in drive A:, type A:SETUP and
then click the mouse on the OK button or press RETURN.

Follow the on-screen installation instructions to proceed.  You will be
asked to enter the path to the directory on your hard drive where you wish
to install the game files, or to accept the default choice.  The installation
program will copy the files to your hard drive and create a Program
Manager group which will contain the game.  To play BrainWave, simply open
the group, and double click the mouse on the icon of the game.

HOW TO REGISTER BRAINWAVE
-------------------------
The registration price for BrainWave is only $14.95 + Shipping and Handling.
There are 2 ways to register:

1.  REGISTER BY MAIL
    To register BrainWave by mail, simply print out the registration form
    and mail it with your payment.  You can either print out the file
    ORDER.FRM in your BRAINWAV directory, or you can run the game and click
    the mouse on "How To Register BrainWave" on the title screen and follow
    the directions.

2.  REGISTER ON COMPUSERVE
    If you have access to CompuServe, GO SWREG to enter the shareware
    registration database, and register PRODUCT ID 8182.  CompuServe will
    bill your account directly and notify us to ship a disk out to you
    right away.

We recommend registration by CompuServe for users outside the United States
since it is faster and easier than obtaining a check drawn on U.S. funds.


A NOTE ON SPEED
---------------
If BrainWave's graphics performance appears slow and choppy on your
system, you can try the following to improve its speed:

- If you are running applications in the background that are
  consuming CPU time, close them before playing BrainWave.  BrainWave
  will perform best if it doesn't have to share CPU time with
  other applications.  If you are running spreadsheet calculations
  in the background, for instance, BrainWave's performance may
  decline, depending on the speed of your system.

- BrainWave performs best at 640x480 resolution in 256-color mode.
  BrainWave will run in higher resolutions and at higher color modes,
  but performance may suffer on slower machines.  Use the Windows
  Setup program to verify that you are running Windows in 640x480
  resolution with 256 colors.

- Try disabling BrainWave's sound effects and/or music.  You can turn
  these on or off through BrainWave's Options menu.  When the music or
  sound effects are turned off, graphics performance will improve
  slightly because BrainWave will automatically use the extra CPU
  time to enhance drawing speed.
