June 11, 1944, was a "Black Day" for the Canadian army at Normandy. Losses sustained in this one day battle equalled roughly one-third of their entire losses for the European campaign, 1944-45. The scenario covers the battle for the french town of le Mesnil-Patry. Although some Canadian units were able to enter the town the counter attack of the 12 SS Panzer Division "Hitler Youth" smashed the Canadian units.
