KKND VERSION 1.1 PATCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
================================================

This version of the patch will only work on English language versions of
KKND.  If your version of KKND is in a different language, you will have
to download the patch for that language version.

To update your system to version 1.1 of KKND, follow these instructions:

1. Run the KKNDPTCH.EXE.  This is a self-extracting zip file. This will
   create these files:
        INSTALL.EXE  
        KILLKKND.BAT 
        KKND.EXE     
        PATCH.EXE    
        README.TXT   
        SUPSPR.LVL   
        UVCONFIG.EXE  
        PROBLEMS.TXT
        VIDEO.TXT

2. Place your KKND CD into the CD drive.  Make sure that the CD doesn't
   autorun (hold down [SHIFT] for about ten seconds after you put the CD in).

3. Run the file PATCH.EXE and follow the onscreen instructions.  This patch
   file will run the KKND installation.  At this point you must re-install 
   KKND.  The updated KKND files will then be copied into the installed 
   directory.  


KKND VERSION 1.1 FEATURES

MULTIPLAYER MESSAGE FUNCTION
----------------------------
To send a message to all the other players in the game press Ctrl-M in a
multiplayer game and type in your message. Enter will send it. ESC will
cancel your message. This works in the game not in the superstructure.

LONG TELEPHONE NUMBERS
----------------------
KKND version 1.1 now supports telephone numbers up to 13 digits long.

GROUP RECALL FEATURES
---------------------
When recalling a stored group, pressing [ALT]+# will centre the screen 
on the group.

UNIVBE SUPPORT IMPROVED
-----------------------
KKND Version 1.1 includes improved video support.  The file VIDEO.TXT 
lists all supported video cards.  The file PROBLEMS.TXT lists the video 
cards that are still problematic and suggests solutions for these cards.
