This directory must be on your local hard disk, and not on a network drive. 2) Download these files to your temporary directory. DIRECTX2.EXE SQZ_.EXE 3) Execute DIRECTX2.EXE. This will launch the DirectX 2.0 installation program. 4) Execute SQZ_.EXE. This will launch the Squeezils installation program. 5) Once both DirectX and Squeezils have been installed, you may delete all of the files in your temporary directory. You can start Squeezils from the 'Squeezils' program folder under your Start Menu. You can adjust the game volume by using the Windows 95 volume control panel. From the Start menu, choose Programs / Accessories / Multimedia / Volume Control. Or, just adjust your speakers. o Occasionally, especially when flying straight up or down, the game may encounter an error which causes the game to pause. If the game stops for no apparent reason, hit enter or the R key. (Since the game runs in fullscreen mode, the error dialog cannot appear, but hitting enter will nonetheless clear it.) o Digital joysticks not supported. o Display errors associated with screen blanking software and energy saving features of some monitors. To restore the screen, OK any error dialog and move the Squeezil. o Performace drop off after repeated restarts. If your Squeezil dies and you restart him several times, the game may slow down. To correct this, exit the game and restart it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Trouble Shooting ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I see the message, "Display Error QueryInterface failed. (Direct 3D) Generic Failure" when I try to start Squeezils. A: DirectX II must be installed on your system in order for Squeezils to run. If you have not installed DirectX II, download the DirectX2.exe file and follow the installation instructions. If you have installed DirectX II, make sure you have restarted your machine. If you have restarted your computer and continue to see this message, reinstall DirectX II.
