DIED. KNUT ANDERS HAUKELID, 82, World War II resistance soldier; in Oslo. During the most desperate hours of World War II, Haukelid was one of the nine Norwegian commandos who nipped the Nazis' incipient A-bomb project by parachuting into the treacherous terrain near a "heavy water" plant and sabotaging the facility. Code-named "Bonzo," the New York-born fighter also helped sink a ferry bearing heavy water to Germany. The exploits of Haukelid and his comrades were memorialized in the 1966 film Heroes of Telemark.
