------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VR BASEBALL (tm) 2000 DEMO README ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- = INSTALLATION = Windows 95/98 ------------------ Simply double click on the EXE file and follow the on screen instructions. Once installed, go to Programs/VR Sports/VR Baseball 2000 Demo, then click on VR Baseball 2000 Demo. Playing Home Run Derby (tm) -------------------------- Click through all the opening screens to get to the main Home Run Derby (tm) title screen. Click on PLAY BALL, and you will be ready to play. Press any key to bring a batter to the plate, then press any key to swing. The longer you hold down on a key, the higher the ball will go. Push a key too fast, and the ball will not go high enough for a home run. Hold down on a key too long and the ball will pop straight in the air. Find that happy medium, and get your timing right, and you'll be slugging balls out of the park. Good luck! VR Baseball 2000 requires the Microsoft DirectX 5.2 drivers to be installed. To get the best experience, it is recommended that you get the latest drivers from your video card manufacturer. Listed below are some websites that may prove useful for obtaining the latest DirectX and OpenGL drivers for your graphics card: 3Dfx (Voodoo, Voodoo2) http://www.3dfx.com ATI Technologies, Inc. (Rage Pro-based accelerators) http://www.atitech.com Diamond Multimedia (Stealth II S220/G460, Monster 3D/3D II, Viper 330, etc) http://www.diamondmm.com Hercules (Terminator series, Thiller 3D, Dynamite 3D, etc) http://www.hercules.com Matrox (Millenium II, Mystique/Millenium G200) http://www.matrox.com/mgaweb/home.htm STB (Velocity series, Blackmagic 3D, etc) http://www.stb.com Windows NT 4 ------------ NOTE: Windows NT is not officially supported, these instructions are for the experienced or adventurous user. Windows NT 4 does not currently support DirectX 5.2, so in order to play in Windows NT, you will need to remove the OPENGL32.DLL in your game directory. Doing this will cause VR Baseball 2000 to use the resident OpenGL drivers on the system. You should obtain the latest OpenGL drivers for your video card. = TECHNICAL INFORMATION = VR Baseball 2000 (Full Version) requires the following system: -------------------------------------------------------------- Pentium 200 3D Hardware Accelerator with 2MB texture memory Windows 95/98 32MB RAM 50 MB of Hard Disk Space CD-ROM drive Video card with Direct3D or OpenGL-based hardware accelerated drivers DirectSound compatible sound card Recommended Hardware: --------------------- Pentium II 266 3D Hardware Accelerator (PCI/AGP with 8+ MB texture memory) 64MB RAM 120MB of Hard Disk Space Gamepad VR Baseball 2000 supports all Windows 95/98 compatible joysticks and gamepads. = CUSTOMER SERVICE = VR Sports Customer Service -------------------------- Telephone: (949) 955-9592 Fax: (949) 252-2820 Attn: Customer Service Internet E-Mail: support@vrsports.com World Wide Web: http://www.vrsports.com/ BBS Modem Phone Number: (949) 724-4010 FTP Site: ftp.vrsports.com Mail: VrSports Customer Service 16815 Von Karman Irvine, CA 92606 For Customer Service within the UK and Europe: ---------------------------------------------- Write to: Customer Support Interplay Productions, Ltd.
