Show or hide the task pane at Access startup

The task pane that appears when you start Microsoft Access has options for creating or opening a Microsoft Access database or a Microsoft Access project. You can show or hide the task pane at Access startup by doing the following: 

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Show, select or clear the Startup Task Pane check box.
