A report that uses block layout prints the group header on the same line as the first detail record. You can create a report that uses a block layout in one of the following ways:
How?
Hide duplicate data on a report with only sorted records
In a text box for which HideDuplicates is set to Yes, Microsoft Access prints a value in the first record in which that value occurs and, if records with the duplicate value continue onto another page, at the top of a new page.
Hide duplicate data on a report with grouped records
The group name will appear only at the beginning of a new group or at the top of a new page if the group continues for more than one page.
