Add page numbers, the date, or other text to a header or footer

  1. On the File menu, click Print, and then in the Print style list, click the print style you want to use.
  2. Click Page Setup, and then click the Header/Footer tab.
  3. To add any of the following items, click in a Header or Footer box, and then click the button.
    To add the Click
    Page number
    Total pages
    Date printed
    Time printed
    User name
  4. To add other text, in the Header or Footer box, type the text you want to appear.
