Automatically calculate the result of a field

1. In design time, right-click the control that is bound to the field whose properties you want to change, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
   
   
2. On the Value tab, select the Set the initial value of this field to check box.
   
   
3. In the box below enter the name of the field you want to use.
   
   
4. Click Calculate this formula automatically.
   
   
5. To make the control read-only, click the Display tab, and then select the Read only check box.
