Update Outlook with your new e-mail account password
If your Internet service provider (ISP)
has given you a new password for an
existing e-mail account, you must update Microsoft Outlook with the new password.
- On the Tools menu, click E-mail accounts.
- Select View or changes existing e-mail accounts, and
then click Next.
- Select the POP3,
IMAP, or
HTTP e-mail account
that you want to update with a new
password, and then click Change.
- In the Password box, type your new password, and then
click Next.
- Click Finish.
Note Your e-mail account password is separate from the password
used to dial your ISP.
