Copy a rule

  1. Click Inbox .
  2. On the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard.
  3. In the Apply changes to this folder list, click the Inbox you want.
  4. In the Apply rules in the following order list, click the rule you want to copy.
  5. Click Copy.
  6. Do one of the following:

    Copy a rule to a different Inbox

    Copy a rule in the same Inbox

    1. In the Folder list, click the active Inbox, and then click OK.
    2. Make any changes you want to the copied rule.

      How?

      1. Click Inbox .
      2. On the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard.
      3. In the Apply changes to this folder list, click the Inbox you want.
      4. In the Apply rules in the following order box, click the rule you want to modify.
      5. Do one of the following:

        Change a condition, action, or exception

        1. Click Modify.
        2. Follow the instructions in the Rules Wizard.

        Rename a rule

        1. Click Rename.

        2. In the New name of rule box, type a name.

    Note   If you copy an existing rule that is turned on into the same Inbox, the copy of the rule will be turned off.
