Notify me when new messages arrive

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Preferences tab, and then click E-Mail Options.
3. Do one or more of the following:

   Display a message when messages arrive

   • Select the Display a notification message when new mail arrives check box.

   Play a sound when messages arrive

   1. Click Advanced E-Mail Options.

   2. Under When new items arrive, select Play a sound.

   Change the mouse cursor when messages arrive 

   1. Click Advanced E-Mail Options.

   2. Under When new items arrive, select Briefly change the mouse cursor.
