Set options on a form that is associated with a reply form

  1. In design time, click the Actions page of your form.

  2. Click New.

  3. In the Action name box, type a name for the menu command and button that you want to use to open the custom reply form.

    For example, if you type Send to Finance in the Action name box, the Read page of the form includes a Send to Finance command on the Actions menu (and a Send to Finance button on the toolbar if you select the option for both).

  4. In the Form name box, type the name of the custom reply form that you want to associate with this form.

  5. Select the Show action on check box, and then click the option that you want.

  6. Under Characteristics of the new form, select the options that you want.

  7. Click OK.

  8. In the list of actions, disable the standard reply actions that you want to remove.

    For example, if you create a custom reply action, you should disable the standard Outlook reply action.

  9. Open the custom reply form that you associated with this form, and then click the Properties page.

  10. Click the Use form only for responses option.

  11. This removes the form from the forms library list so it cannot be selected by mistake. To edit the form you must make it visible.
