Verify a digital signature

1. Open the message that has a digital signature.
2. On the File menu, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

3. To get more information about the certificate, click View Details.

4. To choose options on whether or not you want to trust the source (individual, group, or corporation) of the certificate, click Edit Trust.

Notes

• A message is digitally signed when the sender has applied their digital certificate to the message.

• If a delegate sent the message on behalf of another person, the delegate's name appears as the sender.
