Troubleshoot Calendar
I am receiving reminders for a past appointment or meeting.

You may not have dismissed a reminder for a past appointment or meeting. If a reminder is not dismissed, it will keep reappearing, even after the appointment or meeting is past. When the reminder appears, click Dismiss or Dismiss All.

You may have a duplicate of an appointment or meeting. To remove the duplicate, right-click the item, and then click Delete.

You may have set up an appointment as recurring by mistake. To remove the recurrence, open the appointment, and then click Open the series. On the Actions menu, click Recurrence, and then click Remove Recurrence.
My appointments and meetings show at wrong times now.
- You may have changed your time zone accidentally. To verify the time zone, on the Tools menu, click Options. Click Calendar Options, and then click Time Zone. Select the options that you want.
- You may have swapped time zones by mistake. To switch between the current and second time zones, on the Tools menu, click Options. Click Calendar Options, click Time Zone, select the correct time zone in the Time zone list, and then click Swap Time Zones. This change affects all time settings in all your Microsoft Windows-based programs and is equivalent to changing the current time zone in Windows Control Panel.
I can't see all my appointments and meetings.
Some appointments or meetings may be temporarily hidden based on the view or filter used. To change the Calendar items that appear in the view, do one of the following:
- To view only Calendar items scheduled from now into the future, click the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Active Appointments.
- To view all Calendar items, click the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Customize Current View. Click Filter, and then click Clear All.
I can't see the little calendar.
You may have enlarged one or more of the elements in the Calendar window, causing the Date Navigator to disappear. To make the Date Navigator reappear, try any of the following:
- Hide or resize the Folder List if it is visible. To hide the Folder List, click the View menu, and then click Folder List. To resize the Folder List, point to the border on the right side of the Folder List scroll bar. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow
, drag the border to the left.
- Resize the appointment area. Point to the border on the right side of the appointment area scroll bar. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow
, drag the border to the left.
- Resize the TaskPad. Point to the border above the TaskPad. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow
, drag the border down.
- Resize the Outlook Bar. Point to the border on the right side of the Outlook Bar. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow
, drag the border to the left.
- Maximize the window by clicking Maximize
.
I can't see the Taskpad.

- If you are using Microsoft Exchange Server, you may be able to view another person's Calendar folder, but not have permission to open the person's Tasks folder. Ask the person who granted you access to verify the permission granted to you by doing the following: on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Delegates tab. Select the delegate's name in the Delegates list, and then click Permissions.
- The Personal Folders file that contains this Calendar folder may not have a Tasks folder.
I get the message: Cannot find the Web site.
If you get a message that prevents you from saving your calendar as a Web page, it could be because:
- You typed in an invalid protocol or path in the File name box.
- You don't have appropriate permissions to perform the operation.
Others see my schedule as busy when I don't have any appointments or meetings.
You have scheduled an event and clicked busy in the Show time as box. To clear this time, in the Calendar, open the the event and then click free in the Show time as box.
