Returns the day of a date, represented by a serial number. The day is given as an integer ranging from 1 to 31.
Syntax
DAY(serial_number)
Serial_number is the date of the day you are trying to find.
Remarks
Dates should be entered by using the DATE function, or as results of other formulas or functions. For example, use DATE(2008,5,23) for the 23rd day of May, 2008. The #VALUE! error may be returned if dates are entered as text.

- Press CTRL+C.
- In the spreadsheet, select cell A1, and press CTRL+V.
- To switch between viewing the formula that returns the result and the result in the cell, select the cell and press F2 and then ENTER, or click Commands and Options on the spreadsheet toolbar, click the Formula tab, and look in the Formula in active cell (active cell) box.
