Register an ActiveX control

If you copied an ActiveX control (a file with an .ocx or .dll extension) from an installation disk or from a network without using the Setup program, the control might not be registered or appear in the More Controls list. Before you use the control, you must follow this procedure to register it.

1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Control Toolbox.
2. In the Control Toolbox, click More Controls .
3. At the bottom of the list, click Register Custom Control.
4. Find and select the control you want to register, and then click Open.
