Create a Web form

To complete this procedure, you must be working in a Web page in Microsoft Word.

  1. Click where you want to insert controls.
  2. On the Web Tools toolbar, click the control you want to use.

The form control appears on your Web page.

  3. On the Web Tools toolbar, click Properties .
  4. Enter the properties for the form control by using either the Alphabetic tab or the Categorized tab.
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until you've added all the form controls you want.

In order that users can submit the form after filling it in, it is recommended that each form contain a Submit control or a Submit with Image control.

  6. Add or modify any content that you want.
  7. When you are finished inserting form controls, click Exit Design Mode on the Web Tools toolbar.
  8. Post the form.

Because Web forms require additional support files and server support, it is recommended that you work with your network or Web administrator.

Note   When you insert a form control, a Top of Form boundary is inserted above the control and a Bottom of Form boundary is inserted below the control. You should insert other controls in the same form within those boundaries; however, you can also have more than one form on the same Web page. These boundaries appear only when you are designing the form and will not appear when the page is viewed in a Web browser.
