Can't open a .cil file?

When you import clips using the Clips Online button, in most cases they will automatically be added to your Clip Gallery. However, if you saved the file to your hard drive instead, you will find a file with a .cil extension. Clip Gallery needs to open the .cil file and add the clips to your Clip Gallery in order for you to use the clips.

To add the clips to Clip Gallery

1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, and then select Windows Explorer.
2. Locate the .cil file. See Switching to another folder or drive for more help.
3. Double-click the .cil file.

Note Attempting to move .cil files into Clip Gallery using Import clips, drag-and-drop or copy and paste will not work.
