 Getting your PC optimised normally involves installing a host of specialist utilities, learning their individual quirks, and hoping they'll all work together. But there is a simpler way. Ashampoo WinOptimizer Platinum Suite 2 provides many of the most common PC cleanup and management functions in single, straightforward interface, making it much easier to keep your system running at peak performance.
The Cleaning Tools section starts with a Drive Cleaner, for instance, which quickly searches your PC for redundant files that you can safely delete. A matching DLL Cleaner locates duplicate DLLs, the Registry Cleaner removes orphaned Registry entries left over from long-uninstalled applications, and the Internet Cleaner wipes away your surfing tracks. Each Cleaner is fully configurable, and the Registry Cleaner creates backups just in case you delete something important.
The Tuning Tools section features an Internet Tuner, which tweaks your TCP/IP settings to improve online performance. There's a StartUp Tuner for controlling which programs are launched when Windows boots, an "IP Spam Blocker" and more.
The third File Tools section contains some useful security options, like the ability to delete confidential files permanently (they can't be undeleted), and a module to encrypt or decrypt files.
