How to Configure Dial-Up Access for Mac OS X On the Apple Menu, choose System Preferences
Click on the Network icon
For the Show option, choose Internal Modem Click on the TCP/IP tab For Configure, choose Using PPP In the Domain Name Servers box, type 195.72.113.32 and 195.72.113.31 In the Search Domains box, type abelgratis.com Click on the PPP tab In the Service Provider field, type Abel BT line holders: In the Telephone Number field, type 08440513000 or 08456961000 (both local call rate) Non-BT line holders: In the Telephone Number field, type 08456041310 (local call rate) In the Account Name field, type in guest In the Password field, type in guest Click the PPP Options button Tick the Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications box Do not tick the Prompt to maintain connection box Do not tick the Disconnect if idle box Tick the Disconnect when user logs out box Click the OK button Click on the Proxies tab Untick all the boxes Click on the Modem tab Choose your modem, e.g. Apple Internal 56K Modem (v.90) from the Modem menu In the Dialling (‘Dialing’) section, select tone Tick the Show modem status in menu bar box Click the Apply Now button To connect to the Internet, open up your Internet browser (e.g., Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer) |
