Please read this before installation! - Installation on Windows 95 release 2 with FAT32: If you are using the FAT32 system of Windows 95 R2, you will have to install Keep it Compact in a folder whose name contains no spaces. This is a problem caused by the Borland Database Engine. Borland promised to release a patch soon. This patch will be available from the KiC homepage as soon as it's out. For clarity: there are no problems on Windows 95 R1, Windows 95 R2 with the normal FAT system or Windows NT 4. - Installing the demo database If you choose to install the demo database, it will be installed into a "demodata" folder, beneath the KiC destination folder. So, if you have installed KiC 1.2 before and you are using the "demodata" folder for your own data, please make a backup first or do not install the demo database. If you do not install the demo database, the first time you start KiC, it will ask you if you want to create a new database. For the safety of your data, do not call it "demodata". :)
