Tango 2000 Tutorial Resource Notes ================================== The information contained in these resource notes help you as you work through the Tango Tutorials. -------------------------------------------------------------------- What You Need to Get Started... **Documentation: If you installed Tango Documentation, you will find a PDF version of Tango 2000 Tutorials under Tango 2000 Documentation in the Pervasive program folder(by default, these files are installed in \PVSW\Tango2000\Docs). You need Adobe Reader (provided with Tango) to view this PDF file. A printed copy of Tango 2000 Tutorials is available from Pervasive. **Location of Your Web Server Document Root: You should be familiar with the location of the Web server document root folder because you save files in folders within this directory. The following are the default Web server document root folders for some common Web servers: Microsoft Internet Information Server /Microsoft Personal Web Server \InetPub\wwwroot\ Netscape Server NT \Netscape\Server\docs\ 95/98 \Program Files\Netscape\Server\docs\ Apache Server \Program Files\ApacheGroup\Apache\htdocs\ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Tango Tutorial Resources **When you install Tango, a Tango2000 folder is created within the Web server document root. You save files you create in the Tutorials in the TangoTutorial folder in the Tango2000 folder of the Web server document root. **A number of Tango application files are provided to help you complete the Tutorials. These application files are found in the TangoTutorial folder in the Tango2000 folder of the Web server document root: artistsearch.taf fanclubregister.taf memberupdate.taf **The following database files are required to create a data source in Tutorial B. These files are provided in the Database folder in the TangoTutorial folder in the Tango2000 folder of the Web server document root: field.ddf file.ddf index.ddf products.mkd siteusers.mkd **The following resource files are required to complete Tutorial E. These files are provided in the Resource folder in the TangoTutorial folder, which is in the Tango2000 folder of the Web server document root: footer.html header.html logo.gif **A completed example of the application files you create in the Tutorials are provided in the following folders in the TangoTutorial folder in the Tango2000 folder of the Web server document root. Use these completed Tango application files to gauge your progress through the tutorials.
