Web Integrated Desktop

In Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, users can customize their desktops and folders. The Active Desktop, a feature of Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, allows a user to add components (such as ActiveX controls and Java applets) to the desktop. The desktops can be customized with HTML pages, Active Desktop items, toolbars, channels, and graphics. Folders can also be customized with HTML pages and graphics.

In Stage 4 of the IEAK wizard, you can customize the desktops and folders for your organization. In Stage 5 of the wizard, you specify the amount of control that users have over these settings.
