Shining Beacon Douglas Shieh Did anyone else catch the interview on Good Morning America on the 11th?! Wow, talk about playing the part! Our knight shaved his hair off the top and colored what's left on the sides and back snowy white. No, no, Sir Tony isn't going through a mid-life crisis. It'd be a bit late anyhow if he were. You see, he has transformed himself into the title character for the filming of Surviving Picasso. Physical transformations aside, he is still the same old admirable chap he's always been.
Tony was interviewed for but a couple of minutes of the two-hour morning show.
Personally, I thought, greater service would have been bestowed on the viewers
if the interview had instead lasted at least one full hour. But, alas, some
still has not opened his eyes fully to the wonders of witnessing Tony honing
the skills of his craft. It is a sight to behold. |
Web-o-rama! Webmaster It's really a double-edged sword, isn't it? On the one hand, the Webmaster should really be ecstatic, over-joyed. On the other hand, he should feel shameful, incompetent. What am I talking about? The topic in question is the website review of the Sir Anthony Hopkins Page by Bob Strauss of the Entertainment Weekly magazine. "To Sir with love," the photo caption reads. Darn right! Yes, Sir Tony is much adored by his loyal fans. Such adoration nears obsession, you might say, for some. Case in point: one fan allegedly drove to Tony's former Los Angeles residence of some ten years. He took pictures of the house and the street sign, which coincidentally reads "Anthony Place." The fan felt honoured and proud. The Webmaster is one such like-minded fan. From his admiration of the man stems his creation of the website, |
dedicated to the sole purpose of serving others who have likewise been
influenced somehow by the great knight. The Hopkins Page is merely a personal project, not to be compared with such professional or commercial efforts as the Netscape home page, for example. However, given the necessary tools, the Hopkins Page can be greatly improved in both content and appearance. So, come on, Bob! Why don't you generously donate to the Webmaster a scanner, video/audio capture tools, and some great graphics software packages? They should no doubt help propel the site to an A+. | |||||
