~Metal & Lace Metal and Lace - Battle of the Robo Babes Cheaty Tips. ~BASIC RULES/STARTING You begin the game in the bar. At this moment, whatever you click on will answer "Sorry, gotta go now". You must click on the icon found in the bottom left corner of the screen. Click on ther bottom that says "69" and you will get the password screen and enter the 5 DIGITS and it will let you choose the name, second name, and the password (optional) for the character. After you have created the character you might want to spend some more time with those icons and configure the keys for fighting, etc. Now, before you can progress furthermore, you need the Robo-Armor. In this game you can speak with MANY people and objects in the bar - right now you have to click o the FLOOR - just anywhere on it. Each time you click on it, it will tell you something. Sometimes it is a useless phrase, like "Don't spit on me" or such. You have to keep clicking - you might either pick up some cash, or find a ROBO-ARMOR - which is important to us right now. There is MORE THAN ONE robo-armor hidden in the room. Keep clicking on the floor every ones in a while, and you will find a few. There are also some penalties for clicking on the floor, but I will tell about that later on - right now you have no choice but to look for the Armor. After you have found it, click on the blond babe in red, that stands near the bartender. You will get a list of choices, out of which you should choose to "Give her a Big Ben" ($100). After you have done so, she will tell you to "Tell the old man JAIMEE sent ya". Leave her than, and click in the TOP RIGHT corner of the screen, on the wall. Someone will ask you for the password, and you should type in JAIMEE. I do not know if it would work if you knowing the password will try it w/o talking to JAIMEE. Try it - maybe it will save you a $100. Either way, you end up in the store where the enhancements for the robo-armor sold. You can find out what each item does by clicking on it and asking the salesman. ***HINT*** You DO need at least 1 (preferrably more) level 3 battery, and a couple of level I and II's would help. LEVEL I - gives you 50 Hit Points to your armor LEVEL II 100 Hit Points LEVEL III restores your HP to the maximum, whatever the number is (Do your maths and spend batteries wisely.) ***Make sure*** to have a few hundred left when you exit the store. Go back to the blone babe, and choose to sign up with Robo-Tech, a.k.a. - go fight. As you sign up and pay the fee, you are given the list of Robo-Babes you can fight. They get harder to beat from left to right, so choose the first one. As you do so, the girl comes up to you and you have 3 choices - ignore her, give her $50 or give her $100. If you ignore her you will not have any info on the opponent before the battle starts. If you pay a 50, you will see which ARMOR opponent uses, but nothing more. If you shell out a 100, you will get all the info, including the hit points and accesories on Babe's armor. I recommend to pay a hundred the first time, and than, if you are defeated, just ignore the girl - Robo-Babe will NEVER change the armor if she won. If she lost, however, I strongly recommend to pay another hundres, since she will use a diffirent armor now. You have to defeat each Robo-Babe twice and than go on to the next one. ~MONEY MAKING/SPENDING / CHARACTERS IN THE BAR You start out with $5,000 which is a pretty good amount in the game. In each battle you spend more or less hit points, and you need to buy the new batteries. Having money you can also buy a few accessories that will make it easier for you to win. You also must spend the money for each time you enter battle, and you only get some back when you win. However, there is a dozen way to make some cash or acquire gadgets in this game. For this you must talk to the people/objects in a bar. Here is a list of people/things you can talk to, what you can get from them, etc.. ***Remember*** They will not give you what you need at once. You must listen to quite a lot of garbage before they give you something. Also, they will give you objects the infinite amount of time - if you will have patience to stay there and click on the mouse. ***Warning*** Each character might give you something, but you might LOSE money or item when you talk to them - be careful BARTENDER - found on the left of the screen He will rarely give you some money, saying "JAIMEE said to give it to you". Sometimes he asks you to "pay for drink" and you loose $100, but its worth it to stay there since he also sells ILLEGAL BATTERIES. When he asks you if you want to buy some Mech-Warrior stuff, you have a choice of "great, I will take it", and "Is it stolen?". NEVER use the second one, otherwise he will never offer you items again. If you use "take it", game will deduct a 1,500 bucks from you, and give you 3 level III batteries (cheaper than in the store). If you have less than that, or no money at all, still say "I will take it". The guy will actually give it to you FOR FREE. BLONDE - near the bar, wearing red After you have given her the $100 once to get the password, don't do it again. Only click on her when you want to enter the Ring. WOLF McGIRT - guy in the Army uniform found near the blonde He can land you the money when you need it but be careful - you gotta pay back with percentage. The amount you cna borrow is limited, but do not hesitate to come up to him when you already own him money, but not the full amount - he WILL give you more ASHTRAY - on the bar, near Wolf Will give you some cash or an Amplifier once in a while. I did not find any "bad" effects, so its worth clicking on it every once in a while. RADIO - On the top right of the screen. It sometimes gives you nice amounts of cash, but I lost one of my Robo-Armors to it - it says 'caller #12 has just won your such-and-such armor", so I did not ever try it again. However, if you have lots of armors in need cash badly, try it. KEG - on the very bottom of the screen, near the posters Gives you cash or gadgets sometimes, but be careful, sometimes it tells you "oops, someone jus picked your pockets" and you loose $1,000. It is smart to try talking to it when you have no money, than you have nothing to loose. BRUNETTE - girl drinking bear She only suggests you buy the two arena keepers a bear for $25. I really did not figure why the hell should I do that, but hey, its only $25, I suggest that you do it once. FLOOR - all over the place :) You can find alot of items here, like Robo-Armors (the ONLY place I was able to get them from), cash, etc. Howver, you fall eevry once in a while and can get your Robo-Armor to "leak". TOUGH GUY - at the back of the bar He is the "most profitable" one. he gives you various amounts of cash, batteries, etc. Sometomes. he punches you, saying "stay away from JAIMEE", and computer tells you that "It did not help your leaking problem".. I guess it makes your armor worse, but its still worth it. BOX - to the right of Touch Guy - big wooden box You can find a book in it, and read about the Mecha-Fighting, etc. Really, nothing important. WINDOW - above the box It insults you all the time and VERY rarely wold give you $20, so USUALLY its not worth talking to. But if you want to get into the Arena w/o paying to the Blonde, keep clicking on the window - eventually it will tell you "You are so ugly, I am teleporting your ass out of here." and through you into the arena.
