Our failure to capture St. Lo, has left the Allied armies stuck in the bocage. 
The German forces in the area have proven to be too strong to dislodge. 
This will certainly mean a major delay in the liberation of France and may 
allow the Germans to launch a counter attack.  Your performance has been 
disappointing , we cannot at this time consider you for any promotions.
