Contact Management

OfficeTalk's Contact Mode not only allows users to view the individual company and contact, but also to see the details of any conversations that have been held with that person/company. Other contact management packages force the user to classify a contact either as an employee of a company or as an individual contact, however with OfficeTalk contacts can be recorded as both employees of a company and as individuals.

Full company address details can be stored, together with an E-mail address and a link to other addresses fro the same company. Contact details include a home address and an E-mail address. The Directory view provides a scrollable alphabetical listing of companies or contacts.

The ability to classify and sort company data is essential. OfficeTalk allows companies and contacts to be added to a customised contact `group', which could represent suppliers, sales leads or whatever the individual requires. The Search function allows files to be scanned and selected according to relevant criteria, and then to be exported as a CSV file.

OfficeTalk links to Microsoft Word or any other current word processor to create documents and archive them against the companies and contacts held in OfficeTalk's central database. Mail merges can be created directly from contact mode . Each contact the OfficeTalk user has, can be recorded as an on-screen conversation against the contact.

Filters can be created within OfficeTalk's conversation function to group conversations according to user, company, contact and time period. Conversations can be searched for relevant words. Follow-up tasks can be assigned to users from the conversation screen to provide basic workflow.
