About our Prepress Equipment

Deneba's Prepress Center has sophisticated Prepress equipment to insure that your Canvas 5 job is correctly imaged. We run 12" and 18"wide film, and 12" RC paper. Our imagesetter is a Linotype-Hell Linotronic 560, a high-end drum-based system that utilizes a Helium-Neon laser to image pages at up to 3,385 dpi and 200 lpi. The Linotronic 560 is a larger, more advanced model based on the venerable 300/330 series machines that are found in thousands of pre press shops worldwide. There are more Lino 300/330s in use today than any other imagesetter.

The 560 film recorder is coupled with a Linotronic Helix RIP. This Adobe CPSI Level II PostScript RIP runs on a proprietary CISC processor, and offers a variety of screening, resolution and frequency options. This RIP gives us tremendous flexibility, and we've used it to thoroughly put Canvas 5's separations capabilities through its paces. We're also testing the upcoming Japanese version of Canvas 5, and are pleased to offer Kanji output to our U.S. customers. Call for details on this service.

In keeping with our philosophy of offering industry-standard Prepressservice, we proof CMYK negative film up to 18" by 26" with the popular 3M Matchprint III system. We can do 5th color overlays for spot varnish should your job require it.
