InstallerFX is written by Øyvind Falch of Triumph. I needed an small project for my first C program. I have made other utilities, but these were written in Assembler and I wanted to move over to C code since the future on Amiga is the PowerPC CPU and not the good old MC680x0.
Since I am a beginner at programming C I needed a project were I could start with a simple but complete program and make it more complex later. My next version will include the plans for future versions of this program.
Since this is my first program you might think this a very dirty program. To avoid this, the other experienced programmers in Triumph have looked at the code and made some suggestions and fixes.
If people start to use the programs I will make many new versions of the program. It is not useful if none is starting to use this, so please use it if you think this program is nice for your installerscripts. The program is of course totally free, and can be used by commercial companies and other without giving me any credits.
Since this is a program which should work on any Amiga with any configuration, I do not use any libraries except the normal system libraries. If people do not have the 3.x system the system will just quit and the user will not notice this at all! In other words, this program will work on any Amiga !
