Welcome to the Site Builder Workshop! This area of the Microsoft Web site now includes comprehensive information on HTML authoring, site administration, production, and Web design. We haven't forgotten Web programming, of course. (As a matter of fact, typing http://www.microsoft.com/intdev/ will land you directly in the Programming section of the Workshop.)
For a guided tour of our new design and navigation features, see Tips on Using this Site. Speaking of tips, if you are using Netscape Navigator 3.0 Beta 4, you will get errors viewing the site. Netscape has fixed this issue in Netscape Navigator 3.0 Beta 5.
Remember that the
World Wide Live: Activating the Internet event takes place on July 16. This is a special event for Web site creators, designers, and managers who strive to build the most compelling sites on the Web.
Showcased during World Wide Live will be the Nature Conservancy Web site. The Washington State chapter of the Nature Conservancy has been working with Microsoft and with two Seattle-based firms (Tim Girvin Design and Metabridge) for several months to create a state-of-the-art Web site that will help drive funding and volunteer efforts for the Nature Conservancy, educate readers, and encourage participation in environmental activities. This site was built with Microsoft Internet products and technologies, and we've included a snapshot of the site on this CD. After July 16th, be sure to check the Demo/How-to Site section of the Site Builder Workshop on the Web for detailed information on how the Nature Conservancy site was designed and built.
