Chapter 12: World Events and How to Handle Them

Events are the key to activating your Web pages. As mentioned in the book, events fall into four categories:

• Change
• Drag-and-drop
• Keyboard
• Mouse

What You Need

For this, chapter and most of the following chapters, you should have the Microsoft Control Pad installed on your system. To install Control Pad though, you must have the latest version of Internet Explorer. Here's a shopping list of items:

Mouse Events

The example tracks several mouse events and updates you by displaying a message. Try moving the mouse over the different labels, and clicking the different mouse buttons.
