-- V0.94-A Repacking --------- Repacking is now fully implemented. You need to have a copy of Robert K. Jungs's "REARJ" (V2.24 or later) to use it. Get a most recent copy of ARJ from a bulletin board system. You may as well already have it. It is also possible to use any other type of repacker, just enter the correct name and command line parameters in HERALD.CFG accompanied by all errorlevels and a short description. Put "REARJ.EXE" and "REARJ.CFG" in a directory where you DOS path points to. You should use the "REARJ.CFG"-file I have supplied. It has been edited to allow repacking of *.LHA (Amiga-LHARC) files and archives of the new squeeze packer (*.SQZ), too. Also - at least for ARJ - a critical error handler is installed (ARJ command line option "-&") which prevents your system of hanging. Also it has been set up to call MacAfee's SCAN, thus every new upload will be repacked to your favourite archive type and scanned internally for viruses. When such a repacking fails (pack or unpack errors, viruses detected), the archive will be moved to the trashpath where you can check what has happened. Archives with unkown extensions will be left alone (e.g. *.JPG). Take care when using a different repacker, because if an unkown errorlevel comes up the file will be trashed, too - even if it is an "okay" message! Read HERALD.DOC prior to changing anything. NOTE: There is a demo config for ZZAP in the REPACK directory. If you use a differ- ent repacker, I'd be delighted if you could send it to me. I will distribute it with Herald and at least your name will be in lights :-))
