Movement

The movement stage is the most complex stage since normally there is a large number of creatures to be moved and each creatures has a number of possible moves. Each player is given a chance to move in turn. The strategies you employ during the movement stage will have the greatest effect on your survival in the game. Movement involves not only the shifting of creature positions but also combat.

Dead creatures, sleeping creatures, and growths cannot be moved. No inanimates can be moved, although any shadow wood trees may be used to attack enemy creatures3 in adjacent cells.

A player is able to move each creation once in each turn. To end your turn click on the arrow gadget and control will pass to the next player.

A creature is said to be engaged if it is in close proximity to any enemy creature and is unable to retreat. Engaged creature cannot be moved but may still be able to fight. How likely a creature is to be engaged is dependent of the creature's maneourability.

To move a creature simply click on the creature using the left mouse button. Normally the distance the creature may be moved will be displayed in the text bar. Depending on the creature we may be doing flying movement or walking movement.
