State Symbols of Illinois

The Official State Symbols of the State of Illinois are designated by the General Assembly of the state.

Eleven symbols, in addition to the state seal, flag, and song, have been designated. The first of these, state tree and flower, were designated in 1907. The latest, state dance, was designated in 1990.

In this exhibit you can do one of two things.
