FONTS Q & A

Q: Are the fonts on the CK Becky Higgins Creative Clips and fonts similar to my other TrueType fonts?
A: The CK fonts are identical to the other fonts in your system. Almost all word processing and desktop publishing applications that use fonts will be able to use your Creative Lettering fonts. Once a font is installed, you will be able to select it in your desktop publishing or word processing program.

Q: I copied the CK fonts folder to my System Fonts folder, but I still can't use the fonts. Why?
A: Some systems require you to drop each individual font suitcase from the CK fonts folder into your System Fonts folder. That is, you'll need to open the CK Fonts folder on the CD and copy each individual suitcase over to the System Fonts folder.

Q: Why do my TrueType fonts appear only in black and white?
A: All TrueType fonts are black and white. However, most word procesors allow you to choose a color for fonts. Note that this will usually only color the font outline and will not fill in any spaces.

Q: How do I use TrueType fonts in my document?
A: Select a font style from your word processor/desktop publishing font list. This option is usually found in the top left side of the program window, below the File and Edit commands. After you select a font style, select a size in the size list, which is usually found just to the right of the font list. All the Creative Lettering font names begin with the letters "CK."

Q: Can I edit a CK font?
A: Some programs will let you make basic changes to a font, such as size, color, and line thickness. Other more advanced programs will let you convert your font to curves or outlines. From there, you can edit your font, just as you would any other graphic image. Please consult the user's manual of your program to see what specific font editing abilities it has.

Q: My Creative Lettering TrueType fonts have problems displaying or printing. What should I do?
A: If you encounter a problem that you cannot resolve, please contact customer support via e-mail
