  MACROS <F8>

Macros allow you to easily repeat frequently used keystroke sequences. To
begin recording a macro, you press <F8>. You will then be required to
choose the macro number to use. Having done that, you can start typing
whatever sequence of keystrokes it is that you wish to record.

While you are recording the macro, the keystrokes will still be taking
effect, so you can see what the macro will eventually do when you play it
back. Once you have finished your sequence of keystrokes, you should press
<F8> again to end the recording.

To playback a macro, you press <Shift> with one of the function keys. E.g.
to playback macro 1, you would press <Shift>+<F1>.

For the more advanced users, you can playback a macro from within another
macro. To do this, you first record the macro that is to be nested. Then
you begin recording the second macro, and playback the first macro while
you are recording the second. When you playback the second macro, it will
automatically playback the first macro when necessary.

Note, that certain of the secondary prompts (e.g. when you are asked to
specify the buffer you wish to copy to in the COPY BUFFER command) won't
record properly as part of a macro.
