LOCATION.--Lat 39°00'37", long 87°56'47", in NW¼NW¼ sec.35, T.7 N., R.14 W., Crawford County, Hydrologic Unit 05120112, on left bank at downstream side of bridge on State Highway 33, 0.8 mi upstream from railroad bridge, 2 mi west of Oblong, and at mile 10.5.

DRAINAGE AREA.--318 mi2.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1940 to current year.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 456.19 ft above sea level. Prior to Dec. 11, 1940, nonrecording gage and Dec. 11, 1940, to Sept. 30, 1964, water-stage recorder at same site at datum 2.00 ft higher. Oct. 8, 1971 to May 15, 1979, water-stage recorder at site 0.8 mi downstream at present datum.

REMARKS.--Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Gage-height telemeter at station.
