LOCATION.--Lat 41°33'21", long 90°11'08", in NE¼NE¼ sec.18, T.18 N., R.3 E., Rock Island County, Hydrologic Unit 07090005, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 92, 1.8 mi east of Joslin, 14.5 mi downstream from Rock Creek, and at mile 26.9.

DRAINAGE AREA.--9,549 mi2.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1939 to current year.

REVISED RECORDS.--WDR IL-79-1: Drainage area.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 564.06 ft above sea level (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Prior to Apr. 6, 1940, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.

REMARKS.--Records good except those for Dec. 19 - Sept. 9, which are fair, and those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Some diurnal fluctuation caused by powerplants upstream from station. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.
