Autostereograms This is an basic opl translation of the Autostereogram C program by Harold Thimberly of Stirling University (See New Scientist 9/10/93). It takes 5-10 mins to generate the full image. Its slow and displays a very boring image (a floating rectangle) but illustrates the general principles of random dot autostereograms. If I get some time I may try and do something a bit more interesting. If you have produced anything better on the S3 please let me know. For the uninitiated the 3D image is viewed by diverging you eyes as if viewing an object twice as far away as the screen. Each eye sees a different image and interprits them as a stereo pair.
